All Factions Agree That The Revision Of The DKJ Law Was Brought To The Plenary Session To Be Ratified Into Law
JAKARTA - All factions in the DPR have approved the revision of the Jakarta Special Region Law (UU DKJ) to be brought into a plenary meeting and ratified into law.
The approval was taken after the DPR Baleg Working Committee held a meeting to discuss the DKJ Law with the government represented by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas on Monday, November 18, evening.
"Can the results of the discussion of the Bill on amendments to Law No. 2 of 2024 concerning the provinces of Special Regions in Jakarta can be processed further according to the laws and regulations?," asked Chairman of the Legislative Council (DPR) Baleg Bob Hasan, Monday, November 18.
"Agreed," exclaimed all the meeting participants.
Previously, Deputy Chairman of the DPR Baleg Imam Syukri submitted a Panja report on the DKJ Province. The points agreed are the first, according to the follow-up to the assignment to discuss the DKJ Bill to the Agency
Legislation of the DPR, Baleg DPR has held a working meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs and the Minister of Law and DPD on November 18, 2024.

Two, a joint working meeting between the Government and the DPD has agreed on a meeting schedule and a mechanism for discussing the bill. The Working Meeting also agreed on the number of Problem Inventory Lists (DIMs) which amounted to 34 (twenty-four) with details of 32 (third-two) DIMs being still agreed on by the Working Meeting as a Permanent according to the DPR's proposal, 1 (one) DIM is a Substance Change and 1 (one) DIM is a Redaxional Change for discussion at the Working Committee.
Three, the content of the Bill on Amendments to Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Special Region of Jakarta Province which has been discussed and decided by deliberation and consensus in PANJA is the insertion of 4 provisions (four) articles, namely Article 70A, Article 70B, Article 70C, and Article 70D between Article 70 and Article 71 of Law Number 2 of 2024 which is needed to ensure that changes in the position of the Jakarta Province are followed by changes to the nomenclature of the position of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Member of the DPRD, Member of the DPR, and Member of the DPD for the Jakarta Provincial Election as a result of the general election in 2024 and changes in the provisions. Given the number 1 is by adding "paragraph (2)" to the provisions of Article 22D.
After going through dynamic and democratic discussions, said Syukri, Panja stated that it could accept the Bill on Amendments to Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.
