Israeli Attacks In Gaza Kill 18 People

JAKARTA - Israeli military attacks in the Gaza Strip killed 18 Palestinians, including six people killed in attacks on refugee tents.

Four people, two of whom were children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes in refugee tents in the Al-Mawasi coastal area, designated as a humanitarian zone.

Reported by Reuters on Monday, November 18, two people were also reportedly killed in a temporary shelter in the southern city of Rafah and another due to drones.

In the city of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, medics said Israeli missiles hit houses, killing two people and injuring several others.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, medics and residents said dozens of people were killed or injured in Israeli airstrikes against a multi-story building in the city.

The Israeli military, which has been battling Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza since October 2023, said it had carried out attacks on "terrorist targets" in Beit Lahiya.

There has been no Israel comment on today's attack.

At Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, the families of Palestinians who died in Israeli airstrikes in tents hosting refugee families sitting beside bodies wrapped in blankets and white cloth saying goodbye before taking them to the cemetery.
