RK Alludes To Ahok Often Evicts Residents While Leading Jakarta, Pramono Brings Jokowi's Name

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Candidate number 3 Pramono Anung responded to the statement of his competitor, Ridwan Kamil, who brought up the cases of evictions in Jakarta in the leadership of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) in the third debate of the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Pramono reminded that he was not the only one who became a fellow PDIP cadre with Ahok. He emphasized that when Ahok served as Governor of DKI, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo was also still a PDIP cadre.

"So if you look at it, Mr. Ahok became governor in 2012-2014. At that time, Mr. Jokowi was a member of the PDI. Just check it," said Pramono in South Cipete, Cilandak, Monday, November 18.

In last night's debate, RK said that he and cawagub Suswono would not displace residents in the settlement arrangement program. RK then mentioned Ahok's name, which was considered the most evicted during his leadership

"The governor who evicted the most came from his party, Mas Pram. Mr. Ahok evicted 113 cases of eviction (reported from) CNN April 2016. And according to JJ Rizal, the most brutal governor of the eviction was Mr. Ahok from his party Mas Pram and Bang Doel," said RK in the third debate, Sunday, November 17.

Responding, Pramono emphasized that he would not carry out evictions. However, Pramono refused to comment on the problem of Ahok's era evictions.

"I don't want to answer that (Ahok's eviction), but take note of what I say, if I become governor, I don't do evictions, all I do is empowerment," answered Pramono.
