KPK Summons Uncle Birin Today Regarding Allegations Of Bribery At The South Kalimantan Provincial Government
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the former Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin today, Monday, November 18. Investigators worked on him as a witness to the alleged bribery that had charged him as a suspect before his status was dismissed by the South Jakarta District Court (PN).
"The examination was carried out by the Red and White KPK Building, on behalf of SN as Governor of South Kalimantan for the period 2021-2024," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to reporters, Monday, November 18.
Tessa has not detailed the material that investigators will investigate. Likewise about the presence or absence of Sahbirin.
The anti-corruption commission is confirmed to continue to investigate the alleged bribery received by Uncle Birin. Tessa has said that the examination of the former governor will still be carried out using an investigation warrant (sprindik) on behalf of other suspects.
As previously reported, the South Jakarta District Court (PN) received a pretrial lawsuit from the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin on Tuesday, November 12. His status as a suspect in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was declared dead.
Uncle Birin was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with four other people. They are the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Management of the Tahfidz Darussalam House as well as the collectors of money or fees Ahmad (AMD) and Plt. Head of the Household of the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andrean (FEB).
Meanwhile, as the suspect givers, namely Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND) as private parties. A total of seven suspects were named by the KPK which began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Sunday, October 6.
