JAKARTA - Suddenly, Woo Jiyoon announced his departure from Bolbbalgan4, the duo who made his name. This news was also confirmed by Shofar Music, the agency that oversees them.
Through an official statement, Shofar Music revealed the reason for Jiyoon's departure from Bolbbalgan4. He said, related to his unclear career future.
Jiyoon, who is in the rap and instrument position and Ahn Ji Young in the position of main vocal, have had various discussions with Shofar Music about Jiyoon's plans to resign, and the agency respects the rapper's decision.
Woo Jiyoon also wrote a letter after this announcement, which said: "This is not an easy decision but we went through various experiences and emotions together." Jiyoon also admitted that he often contemplated what he was doing now. He decided to look for a new challenge before it was too late.

In the letter, Jiyoon promised to become a friend and fan who supports Bolbbalgan4's career. Currently, the group is only manned by Ahn Ji Young and there are no additional members.
Along with this announcement, Shofar Music also announced the latest album Bolbbalgan4 which will be released in May. The agency also asked fans to look forward to the album and continue to support Bolbbalgan4.
Bolbbalgan4 or BOL4 first appeared in the Superstar K6 competition, the two later met with the agency Shofar Music and signed a contract. Their unique vocal and song composition skills have made them known as digital monsters in South Korea.
