Pramono-Rano Visions: Organizing Slum Village Without Evicting

JAKARTA - Pair number 3 Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, in the third debate for Candidates for Governor of DKI Jakarta, highlighted the social inequality in the Jakarta area in both the sanitation sector, the availability of clean water, and also the quality of the environment.

"For almost two and a half months, Bang Dul and I toured Jakarta, we got 445 slum villages. This is where the differences or disparities of wealth and poverty are so striking in Jakarta," Pramono said in the third debate on Sunday, November 17.

He is committed to organizing 445 slum village neighborhoods in Jakarta with an approach that maintains the existence of the village without sacrificing the livelihoods of the residents.

To overcome this problem, candidate pair Pramono-Rano promised to provide affordable housing for residents on land owned by BUMD or owned by the Jakarta government.

In addition, if elected Governor of Jakarta 2024-2029, candidate pair number 3 will also continue the Mangrove Seawall project which is still less than 11.1 kilometers away.

Furthermore, Pramono-Rano will also increase the number of electric-based Jabodetabek public transportation fleets, and require companies to install railways and air filters to reduce carbon emissions.

"We will impose sanctions for companies that do not comply with this," said Pramono.

As for flood management, candidate pair number 3 will also continue the infiltration well project and also ask orange troops to work more massively.

"Both of us, Bang Dul and I, if we become governors and deputy governors, we promise that in 2029 all clean water can be filled with Jakarta residents," he said.
