T-Mobile Hacked! Becomes A Victim Of Mass Telecommunication Hacking By Chinese Hackers
JAKARTA - The largest telecommunications company in the United States, T-Mobile, is reported to have been a victim of hacking by a Chinese hacker group.
The hacker managed to break into T-Mobile as part of their espionage campaign that has been going on for months to spy on the federal government.
Currently, the telecommunications company is saying it is monitoring all of its systems carefully.
"Currently, T-Mobile's systems and data have not been significantly affected, and we have no evidence of an impact on customer information," a company spokesperson told Reuters.
On Wednesday, November 13, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said the Chinese hacker had intercepted data after breaking into a number of telecommunications companies.

In early October, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Chinese hacker managed to access a network of US broadband providers, including Verizon Communications, AT&T, and also Lumen Technologies (LUMN.N).
The hack was carried out by a group of hackers working for the Chinese government, dubbed Salt Typhoon, which targets wiretapping systems that must be provided by telecommunications and internet companies in the US under a 30-year federal law.
Where this system is known, it can allow local governments to access customer data for legal purposes.
