Men's Doubles Pair Fajar/ Rian Wins Kumamoto Japan Masters 2024
JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto sealed the 2024 Kumamoto Japan Masters title, after beating the host pair Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi via rubber games, 21-15, 17-21 and 21-17 at Kumamoto Predictural Gymnasium, Japan, Sunday.
Starting the first set, Fajar/Rian immediately appeared slick with quick attacks that made Hoki/Kobayashi quawalahan.
The game from the All England 2024 doubles was unstoppable with a six-point lead, 8-2. The rhythm of Fajar/Rian's fast game was able to keep the seven-point lead until it entered the first interval of 12-5.
After the interval, Hockey/Kobayashi tried to act on the fast attacks launched by Fajar/Rian by playing solidly reading the direction of the attack so that they had reduced the position to 13-16.
In the situation that had been pursued, Fajar/Rian was able to widen the distance to close the first set with a 21-15 victory.
