Mahen Presents The Love Story Of Five Rounds At The EP After You Leave

JAKARTA - After releasing the album Chapter 1.5 (Acoustic Version) in April and the single 'Select Stop' in August, Mahen launched an extended play (EP) or a mini album titled After You Leave before ending 2024.

The 27-year-old singer presented five songs as a series of stories, namely 'Choose to Stop', 'After You Go', 'Complete Flavor', 'Untitled23', and 'Elder'.

Overall, the EP, which was presented by the singer under the auspices of Indo Semar Records, tells the journey of someone's love which is divided into five rounds.

"Per the song continues to be a story, and there is a little plot twist where there is happiness in this EP ending," Mahen said in a written statement, Sunday, November 17.

This round in the EP starts from patience which reaches its limit, then reopens the heart, but fate separates, and continues with feelings of like that eventually grow but must be hidden.

Furthermore, the EP round enters the stage of failure, then a sense of surrender and does not want to hope anymore, until finally after a long wait and repeated failure, true love was found.

Mahen admitted that EP 'After You Go' became a form of satisfaction in his work. He felt satisfied that he could present romance with different grooves and dynamics in every song.

"In this EP I went straight into the process. Hopefully, this series of EP really represents the mood of whoever the listener is," said the man who debuted in 2019.

Like previous songs that received millions to hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify, Mahen hopes that this EP can also be enjoyed and have a place in the hearts of Indonesian music lovers.

"There is no other word than happy. I'm very happy to be able to work again. Hopefully, it can be heard a lot and can relate to the story," concluded Mahen.
