Mount Lewotobi Eruption Refugees Get Fresh Fish Assistance

The refugees affected by the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Male received fresh fish assistance distributed by the Marine and Fisheries Service Branch Office Region II of Lembata Regency, East Flores and Sikka together with the All-Indonesian Fishermen Association and PT Pahala Bahari Nusantara.

"The aid of 500 kilograms of fresh fish was delivered directly to the refugees at the evacuation post," said Head of the NTT Provincial Marine and Fisheries Office of the Lembata Flores Timur Regency, Antonius Andy Amuntoda when contacted from Larantuka, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), quoted from Antara, Sunday 17 November.

Antonius Andy Amuntoda explained that the assistance for caring for the eruption of Mount Lewotobi was distributed to the self-isolation posts in Bama Village and Wolo Village, Apetobi Refugee Command Post, Bokang Command Post, Kobasoma Command Post, and Konga Command Post.

"This assistance is a form of our concern for the victims of volcanic eruptions who are currently lacking in foodstuffs such as fresh fish," he said.

He hopes that the assistance provided can help a little while at the same time meet the consumption needs of the refugees who are currently still in refugee camps.

"We have delivered this assistance for the second time, previously last week we also delivered 700 kilograms of fresh fish," he said.
