Anies Baswedan Is Considered To Be Able To Boost The Electability Of The Pramono Anung-Rano Karno Pair In The 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada

Jakarta Political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia, Ujang Komarudin, assessed that the support of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, could increase the electability of the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

This assessment was conveyed by Ujang after Pramono-Rano's visit to Anies' residence in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Friday, November 15. During the meeting, Pramono and Rano received a warm welcome from Anies, although they did not openly provide support.

"This meeting gave a strong signal. In fact, some people close to Anies, such as the success team and their spokesperson, are now in the Pramono-Rano camp," Ujang said when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday, November 16.

According to Ujang, this meeting aims to garner votes from Anies supporters who are known as "Child Abah." With this meeting, Anies loyal voters are expected to shift their support to Pramono and Rano.

"Although Anies did not explicitly express his support, this meeting was a strategic step to approach his voters," said Ujang.

Ujang added that Pramono-Rano's strategy also aims to attract the attention of hesitant voters (undecided voters). This step is expected to maximize the couple's electability potential during the campaign which is approaching voting day.

The Political Safari to the Governor of Pre-emptive Pramono-Rano's visit to Anies' residence is part of the couple's political safari to the former governor of DKI Jakarta. The goal is to get input and advice in building Jakarta in the future.

Survey Results: Pramono-Rano Unggul at Puncak Electability The results of the Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) survey show Pramono-Rano's electability reaches 46 percent, outperforming candidate pair number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), which is at 39.1 percent, and pair number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun), with 5.1 percent.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta has determined three pairs of candidates who will fight in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada. The three pairs are:

The 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election is scheduled to take place on November 27. Tight competition between candidate pairs shows that the support from influential figures such as Anies Baswedan can be a determining factor in winning the Pilkada.
