Police Still Looking For Additional Witnesses To Balongan Indramayu Oil Refinery Fire
JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the cause of the Balongan oil refinery fire, Indramayu, West Java. The team from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) is still looking for additional witnesses.
"Puslabfor is still looking for the cause and people who know about the situation in the Balongan oil refinery area," Head of Public Relations Division of Kombes Police Ahmad Ramadhan told reporters, Friday, April 9.
But to date there have been no significant developments from the interim investigation. The team's been working for a few days.
"While not yet. Still it is (52 witnesses). So it's related still under investigation. So the examination as an interview is," said Ramadhan.
"Currently puslabfor Polri team has been working since 3 days ago to conduct a crime scene (crime scene) and investigation in order to find the cause, origin of the fire," he continued.
Kabareskrim Polri Komjen Agus Andrianto previously said it had conducted an inspection of 52 people related to the fire at Pertamina Balongan Refinery, Indramayu Regency.
"There have been 52 people who have been made clarifications and also examinations," he said.
The fire of four tanks of Pertamina Balongan Refinery, Indramayu Regency occurred on Monday, March 29, early morning. In that incident six people were seriously injured and hundreds of residents were forced to evacuate.
