The Lantis Presents Reflective Story Through Single Titled Bunga Maaf

JAKARTA - The Lantis introduces a new single titled "Bunga Maaf". This song is the second release by the Jakarta trio who in March launched their second full album titled "Pancarona".

Through their new single, the group consisting of Giri (bass, vocals), Ravi (guitar, vocals), Ojan (guitar) wants to describe a story of deep regret and empty hopes due to a relationship that was destroyed by ego in the past.

"This song tells the story of someone who hopes for a second chance, even though that chance has been lost for a long time," said The Lantis in their statement, Friday, November 15.

The title "Bunga Maaf" was chosen as a representation of the embodiment of regret and apology for mistakes made in the past. Something beautiful and loving, but vulnerable to withering if eaten by time.

Behind the regret of a romantic story, The Lantis also presents a deeper story, where the pain represented not only describes a romantic story, but in any relationship that is based on sincere feelings and deep love.

"Bunga Maaf" is The Lantis' first work to involve other musicians in the production process. Rendy Pandugo also acted as co-writer and producer for this song.

Giri said that this collaboration began with the development of new material with Rendy, who then gave a different touch to the song production, thus bringing a more mature and mature nuance to the arrangement.

For The Lantis, this production marks the evolution of their music, with profound simplicity but still carrying a vintage character.

Giri et al also presented a visualizer for their new song, depicting the protagonist trying to apologize by giving flowers to a figure who was once considered 'home'.

"The visualizer reflects the protagonist's feelings of regret because of the ego that made him lose someone very precious. The visual elements, including the vintage editing style, strengthen the atmosphere of regret that they want to convey to the audience," concluded Ojan.
