Daihatsu Breaks Record in Sales, 13 Thousand Units in October 2024, Sigra Still the Best Seller
JAKARTA – PT Astra Daihatsu Motor recorded an increase in sales in October 2024 with a total of 13,101 units, an increase of 4.9 percent compared to the previous month.
Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head of PT Astra International Daihatsu Sales Operation, Tri Mulyono, expressed his appreciation to customers who have loyally chosen Daihatsu and emphasized the company's commitment to pampering consumers with various special programs.
"We are grateful for the trust of customers in Daihatsu. To make it easier for them to own a new vehicle, we are presenting a special sales program until the end of the year through DAIFEST. Our presence at the upcoming GJAW exhibition is expected to further boost national automotive sales this year," said Tri Mulyono in a press release, Friday, November 15.

In October, the best-selling Daihatsu model was still held by Sigra with sales of 4,077 units, contributing 31 percent of total monthly sales. The next position is filled by Gran Max Pick Up which sold 3,569 units (27 percent), and Ayla with 1,442 units (11 percent).
Cumulatively, from January to October 2024, Daihatsu managed to sell 142,949 units, achieving a market share of 19.6 percent of the total national automotive market of around 730 thousand units. During this period, Sigra became the main contributor with 46,858 units sold, dominating 59 percent of the LCGC MPV segment. Followed by Gran Max Pick Up with 35,133 units (57 percent of the Pick Up Low segment) and Gran Max Mini Bus with 11,892 units which controlled 91 percent of the semi-commercial segment.
