AC Milan Star's Message To His Sister: Ask Eliano To Bring Indonesia To Qualify For The 2026 World Cup
JAKARTA - AC Milan star, Tijjani Reijnders, injected enthusiasm for his younger brother, Eliano Reijnders, who will appear to defend the Indonesian national team in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
He asked Eliano to perform optimally in order to bring the Garuda Squad through to the 2026 World Cup round.
The Indonesian national team faced Japan in the fifth matchday of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification. The match will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 19.00 WIB.
Ahead of this match, Eliano revealed that he received an injection of encouragement from his brother who is currently defending Serie A club AC Milan and the Dutch national team.

Eliano said Tijjani asked him to bring the Indonesian national team through to the 2026 World Cup so that they could meet in the field.
"He told me. Hey, go to the 2026 World Cup. Maybe we can meet each other, with the Netherlands and Indonesia. So, yes, I hope we can qualify for the 2026 World Cup," said Eliano Reijnders in his statement quoted on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Currently, Eliano Reijnders has chosen Indonesian citizenship, while his older brother, Tijjani Reinders, chose to defend the Dutch.
Regarding this difference in nationality, Eliano revealed that the decision to move to defend the Indonesian national team was also based on input from Tijjani.
"First, yes, of course I spoke with him, considering my decision to play for Indonesia. He said yes, if you want to do it, do it, because it's a beautiful country," said Eliano.
Eliano is confirmed to be on the list of players against Japan. He was very impatient to make his debut in SUGBK with the Indonesian national team.
"Yes, I can't wait because it's a large stadium (SUGBK)," said Eliano enthusiastically.
