KPK Waits For Ministers, Deputy Ministers And Special Staff Of Prabowo Cabinet To Report Wealth

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hopes that ministers, deputy ministers, and other state administrators who have just been inaugurated in the Red and White Cabinet will immediately submit a report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN). They still have two months left since they were sworn in last October.

"We hope that before three months everything will be done, that's it. To make it good, we see transparency," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to reporters quoted on Thursday, November 14.

Pahala said his party was ready to help ministers, deputy ministers, and officials in the cabinet to report their wealth. "If necessary, we will send a team to help make it, yes, that's okay too. Especially those that have never (reported, ed)," he said.

In the future, Pahala said the appeal letter would be sent to ministers and their representatives who had not reported it. However, this step is usually carried out before the deadline.

"At least when we are close, we will write a letter in a month. Right, he already knows his respective obligations," said Pahala.

It is known that the obligation to report LHKPN is in accordance with Law Number 28 of 1999. In addition, conveying that assets actually aim as a form of transparency.

In addition to his ministers and deputys, advisers, envoys to special staff of the president and vice president who were sworn in on Tuesday, October 22, immediately reported their wealth. They are included in the ranks of state administrators because they have strategic functions as regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 137 of 2024.
