Water Pump Cable Thief In Underpass Angkasa Kemayoran Arrested

The Kemayoran Police managed to arrest two suspected perpetrators of the theft of a water pump cable with the initials SL (34) and SK (30) on Wednesday, November 13. The two perpetrators were arrested near the location of the theft.

The arrest of the perpetrator was made after the police received a report and conducted an investigation.

"The evidence confiscated included 1 cutter knife, cutting tang, screwdriver, iron saw, thigh and file," said Kemayoran Police Chief, Kompol Agung Ardiansyah to VOI.

The stolen goods in the form of pieces of the underpass pump cable were also confiscated as evidence.

"Evidence confiscated 4 pieces of cable measuring 2 meters and 4 pieces of cable measuring 5.5 meters," he said.

From the results of the examination of the two suspects, SL and SK launched an act of theft by entering the water pump room at the Angkasa underpass on Jalan Angkasa Pump Air, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

"The perpetrator entered by destroying the entrance of the water pump. Then the suspect SK played a role in turning off MCB," he said.

After that, the suspect SK cut the water pump cable. Meanwhile, the suspect SL conducted a peeling of the cable that had been cut by the suspect SK.

"The SL suspect and the SK suspect cut the cable using a device in the form of cutting pliers, screwdrivers, iron saws, thighs and files. All of these tools have been confiscated by investigators," he said.

Until now, the police are still developing the arrests of the two suspects in the theft of water pump cables. The police are also still investigating the motive for the theft of the cables carried out by the two perpetrators.

"The two suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code," he said.
