Rodri Hasn't Thought Of Extending Contract, Focus On Injury Healing
JAKARTA - Manchester City midfielder Rodri Hernandez just won the Ballon d'Or 2024 award at the end of last October.
The Best Player Award was obtained when he was in a long injury. As is known, Rodri suffered from an ACL injury (anterior cruciate ligament) and has been absent since September 2024.
It is not yet known exactly when Rodri can return to play. Initial estimates, he will miss Manchester City in the next two to three months.
However, Rodri remains a hot commodity for European clubs ahead of the winter market in January 2025.
Later, he has been linked with the possibility of returning to La Liga with Real Madrid even though he has a long contract at Etihad until 2027.

Rodri did not want to respond to the rumors. According to him, the most important thing now is the focus of healing injury.
He also emphasized that he still feels at home with Manchester City.
"(Renewing my contract) is not my priority right now. I want to recover (from my injury)."
"We'll see. I love living today, I'm very happy there (in Manchester City). This has been my home since I arrived in England," Rodri said in an interview with radio COPE.
However, Rodri did not want to rule out the possibility of leaving the Etihad Stadium.
"It doesn't make sense to close the door. However, I (still) feel very comfortable there (Manchester City)," he said again.
Rodri played for Villarreal and Atletico Madrid before joining Manchester City in 2019.
With The Citizens, he has won many titles, such as four Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, two League Cups, one Community Shield, one Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, and one Club World Cup.
