Sri Mulyani Reveals This Year's Tax Revenue Is Heavy

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that this year was a tough year in collecting tax revenues caused by lower commodity prices such as crude palm oil (CPO) and coal.

"This year is indeed a very difficult year with negative tax growth because prices from CPO, then also from coal have decreased," he said in an online meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI, Wednesday, November 13.

Sri Mulyani said that the realization of tax revenues until October 2024 was IDR 1,517.5 trillion, this figure is only equivalent to 76.3 percent of the 2024 APBN target of IDR 1,988.9 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of tax revenue fell 0.4 percent year on year (yoy) when compared to the realization in the same period last year of Rp1,523.9 trillion.

"The growth in our tax revenues is still negative, although it is very thin, which is 0.4 percent compared to last year," he said.
