The National Police Chief Appoints 2 Generals As Central Papua And Southwest Papua Police Chiefs
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has chosen his best members to serve as Kapolda Central Papua and Southwest Papua. They are Brigadier General Alfred Papare and Brigadier General Gatot Haribowo.
The appointment of the Central Papua and Southwest Papua Police Chief was contained in a telegram letter numbered: ST/2517/XI/KEP./2024.
"Central Papua Police Chief Brigadier General Alfred Papare and Southwest Papua Police Chief Brigadier General Gatot Haribowo," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho to reporters, Wednesday, November 13.
It is known that the formation of the Central Papua and Southwest Papua Regional Police as the New Autonomous Region (DOB) was based on the National Police Chief number Kep/677/IV/2024 dated April 29, 2024.
Originally, the National Police Chief proposed the formation of four new regional police stations in the DOB area. However, only two were approved by the Kemenpan RB.
Returning to the National Police mutation, the National Police Chief appointed Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo to serve as Head of the Corruption Eradication Corps (Kosis Tipikor) of the National Police.
Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo is previously known to have served as Director of Corruption Crimes (Dirtipidkor) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In addition, in the ST, there are several other names that have also been transferred to new positions. For example, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo who was appointed as the Inspector of General Supervision (Irwasum) of the National Police.
