CIA Director Visits Prabowo at Wisma Indonesia Washington, Meeting Held Behind Closed Doors

JAKARTA - Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William J Burns visited President Prabowo Subianto on the sidelines of his state visit to the United States (US), Tuesday, November 12.

Based on a press release received by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 13 in the early hours of the morning, Burns was accompanied by Assistant Director For EAPMC Henry Kim, and Chief Of Station Jakarta Carlos.

They visited President Prabowo Subianto at Wisma Indonesia, Washington DC. According to reports, the meeting was closed.

President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in the meeting.

President Prabowo Subianto's state visit to the United States was to fulfill an honorary invitation from the country.

President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden.

On the sidelines of his visit to the US, President Prabowo Subianto also held a meeting with members of the United States-Indonesia Society (USINDO) corporation which was held in the Dumbarton Room, Four Season Hotel, Washington DC, last Monday.

In the meeting, President Prabowo had a direct dialogue with a number of leaders of large US companies that have long invested in Indonesia, including Freeport, Chevron, General Electric, Georgetown, and other leading companies.

In his press statement after the event, President Prabowo expressed his joy at the enthusiasm of US companies to continue contributing to Indonesia's economic development.
