Prabowo Reminds That Assistance For Victims Of The Mount Lewotobi Eruption Disaster Must Be Right On Target

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in the midst of his visit to the United States. They discussed the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

"Tonight in Indonesia and in the morning in the United States, I held an internal meeting via video conference with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, related ministers, and the Head of BNPB to discuss the management of the Mount Lewotobi Male eruption disaster in East Flores Regency, NTT Province," Prabowo said through his official Instagram account, @prabowo quoted Wednesday, November 13.

Prabowo asked for new information about the eruption disaster in a meeting. "And ensure that all assistance can be given on time and on target as quickly as possible," said the former Minister of Defense (Menhan) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Head of BNPB Suharyanto reported that the joint team had coordinated and carried out rescues since November 3 in the morning or during the first eruption. He said, 13 thousand residents had fled to safer locations.

"This morning we have also held a coordination meeting chaired by the Vice President and since the eruption on the 3rd morning ago, BNPB, Ministry of Social Affairs, TNI, Polri, Regional Government have also immediately rescued and evacuated residents," he said.

Furthermore, Prabowo is certain to continue to monitor developments in the handling of the mountain eruption disaster. Its existence abroad will not be a problem according to Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno.

"I can imagine he is certainly not calm," he said.

"That's why he wants to hear directly from us," concluded Pratikno.
