South Sulawesi Police Immediately Name Suspects For Hazardous Cosmetic Products

The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation and Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the South Sulawesi Police will immediately determine a potential owner of cosmetics or skin care products suspected of containing harmful substances such as mercury that is already circulating in the market.

"The matter of skincare (skin cosmetics) has just finished examining experts, then last night the case was held. After that, there will be a process of determining the suspect. Later we will expose it," said Director of the South Sulawesi Regional Police Ditreskrimsus Kombes Dedi Sutryadi as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 12.

He said, there are three categories of products that are suspected of containing dangerous substances and their products have been widely circulated on the market after an examination was carried out by the Makassar Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM).

"Later, after I finish the case, the determination of the suspect. I just signed it, I just told you, because of the principle of presumption of innocence. Just last night I held a case. The owner or owner (suspect candidate)," he said.

Previously, the South Sulawesi Regional Police released the confiscated products for skin care and beauty cosmetics allegedly contained mercury and had been circulating in the market, but had not yet named a suspect.

"After investigating and investigating activities were carried out in the field, there were several products circulating in the South Sulawesi region including (brands) FF, RG, MH, MG, GG and NRL," said South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Yudhiawan.

It is known that the six cosmetic products are suspected of containing dangerous mercury ingredients, namely Fenny Frans (FF), Ratu Glow/Raja Glow (RG), Mira Hayati (MH), Maxie Glow (MG), Bestie Glow (BG), and NRL.
