Vice President Asks For Classification Of Male Lewotobi Eruption Refugee Places

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked ministries and agencies to classify refugee camps for victims of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.

"The vice president gave directions, in fact he (asked) to distinguish refugee camps between the general, the elderly, the pregnant, the breastfeeding, and the children," said Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Suharyantous at the coordination meeting for the response to the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 12.

Suharyanto conveyed that the classification of refugee camps is needed so that the health services and basic needs provided are appropriate.

According to him, until the eighth day of the emergency response period was implemented, there had been no public complaints regarding basic services such as food, drinks, and clean water.

"But what will be completed is MCK (Mandi Washing Sauce) and we make sure it will be completed," explained Suharyanto.

The emergency response period, which is planned to be imposed by the Acting Regent of East Flores, will last for 58 days.

Suharyanto emphasized that the government will not wait for the emergency response period to be completed to carry out the rehabilitation and reconstruction stage, so that community needs are met immediately.
