Bareskrim Blocks International Online Gambling Assets Worth IDR 36.8 Billion
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police continues to strive to eradicate online gambling practices. Recently, the Directorate of Cyber Crime has again blocked assets related to international online online online gambling worth Rp36.8 billion.
"The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has again blocked assets worth Rp. 36,860,289,000 related to other online gambling sites," said Director of Cyber Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji to reporters, Tuesday, November 12.
The blocking of these assets is the result of an in-depth investigation of the flow of funds from various international online gambling sites that offer various types of gambling, such as slots,des, dice, gaples, dominoes, coproques, and sharing other types of card games.
"The blocking comes from payment service provider services used by international online gambling sites," he said
This step, said Himawan, shows the firm commitment of Bareskrim Polri in eradicating online gambling activities that are troubling the public and have a negative impact.

Currently, investigators are still investigating and tracking other assets related to online gambling sites.
"With this asset blocking, it is hoped that the cyber crime chain that utilizes technology for online gambling can be significantly suppressed," said Himawan.
Previously, Bareskrim Polri also confiscated a number of assets related to the online gambling practice slot 8278. The value is more than IDR 89 billion.
