Mugging in Ciputat, Victim's Hand Inflamed After Being Slashed with a Sickle
TANGERANG - A man is suspected of being the victim of a mugging at the Nurul Qomar Mosque, Sawah Baru, Ciputat District.
The local Neighborhood Head (RT), Syarifuddin, said the incident occurred on Monday, November 11, in the early hours of the morning. He said that in addition to stealing a motorbike, the perpetrators also slashed the victim.
"This one motorbike was followed from behind then cornered, then the victim fell," said Syarifuddin to reporters, Monday, November 11.
"The motorbike was immediately taken away. He was attacked, I saw from CCTV carrying a machete, he attacked the victim," he continued.
Syarifuddin admitted that he did not know the victim's identity. The victim was immediately taken to the IMC Hospital, South Tangerang.
The victim was driving from Bintaro towards Ciputat. Upon arriving at the location, the perpetrators, five people on two motorbikes, were already following him. They immediately cornered and attacked the victim. After successfully snatching, the perpetrators fled.

The victim suffered serious injuries to the wrist due to the perpetrators' sharp weapons.
"As far as I know, the wrist was slashed with a machete. The number of perpetrators, as seen from the CCTV, was five people. One was a pair, the other three," he said.
