Bruno Fernandes: Garnacho Doesn't Celebrate Because Supporter Loses Trust

JAKARTA - Alejandro Garnacho contributed Manchester United's last goal in a 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Old Trafford.

After scoring a goal, the Argentine player elaborated simply. Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes said Garnacho's reason was because supporters had lost their trust in him.

"Garnacho scored a great goal, but didn't celebrate as he should. He feels he has lost the trust of some supporters."

"I told him that people would always complain, but many people liked you and enjoyed what you did," said Bruno Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes further admitted that he had to spark Garnacho's enthusiasm after the goal.

"I told him to celebrate, it's something special. He's a special player."

"We have people who make differences. They are the ones who won the game for us," Fernandes told the BBC.

Garnacho came on as a substitute in the 57th minute and scored his seventh goal this season.

The 20-year-old is considered one of the brightest young players at Manchester United. He scored in last season's FA Cup final against Manchester City.

However, his actions at home to Leicester showed the anxiety of his heart.

Garnacho fired a long-range shot into the top corner of the net to ensure a 3-0 win for Manchester United.

Instead of celebrating with the audience, he looked frustrated as he walked back to the halfway line to restart the game.
