Vice President Gibran Will Convey The Idea Of Building A Special School For Children Victims Of Violence To Prabowo

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka welcomed and supported the idea of the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti who wanted to build a special school for children victims of violence.

"Don't let them be expelled from school. If we can give special attention, if we can build a special school for them. This is the Minister's idea, not my idea. And I think this is a very good idea," said Gibran while giving directions at the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for the Evaluation of Basic and Secondary Education in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Monday, November 11.

Vice President Gibran admitted that he had discussed this idea with the Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti and assessed that the idea was important to realize so that children who experienced violence, including sexual violence, received the special attention they needed.

The vice president is also optimistic that this idea will receive full support from President Prabowo Subianto.

"I think later if it is reported to Mr. President Prabowo, he will certainly welcome it too. So a special school for victims of violence, I think this is very good," said the Vice President.

Previously, the Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti in his speech said the coordination meeting was attended by heads of the Education Office from all over Indonesia and a number of regional heads who were specially invited.

The event aims to improve the performance of the policies that have been implemented by the ministry.

There are two main issues discussed at the coordination meeting, namely the zoning policy and the New Student Admission System (PPDB), as well as the teacher policy with the status of a Government Employee with a Work Agreement (PPPK).

"These are two issues that are indeed polemics in society," said Abdul Mu'ti.
