Acting Governor: Elementary School Repair Hit By Tree In Cimahi Use BTT

Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin instructed the improvement of SDN Baros Mandiri 4 in Cimahi City which was hit by a tree during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Saturday, November 9 using the Cimahi City Unexpected Expenditure Budget (BTT).

Prior to that, Bey instructed that the building that was hit by a fallen tree be cleaned up.

"The Cimahi City Government's handling and quick response are good, fallen trees will be cleaned first, and later will use the Cimahi City BTT for repairs (schools)," said Bey in Cimahi, West Java, Antara, Sunday, November 10.

Bey himself visited Cimahi City to see the current condition of the school, as well as the Cimahi City KPU Warehouse which was damaged by rain on Saturday.

"There are three areas affected by high-intensity rain and strong winds, namely Cirebon City, Cimahi City, and Cirebon Regency. Based on the data, from yesterday's rain, the most affected was Cimahi, that's why I came here (injau)," he said.

On this occasion, Bey reminded the people of West Java to be careful when traveling when extreme rain occurs.

He explained that the BMKG forecast for high intensity rain will take place from November to the end of February 2025.

"Those who ride motorbikes don't force them, it's better to stop looking for a safe place first because we don't know like Cimahi City, the wind is the strongest until the trees fall. The trees are not old, but because of extreme rain with strong winds so they are raised. Indeed, you should be careful," he said.
