Forest Fire Hits New Jersey, New York Air Quality Affected

JAKARTA - A forest fire hit North New Jersey, USA from Saturday 9 November local time.

The US state, which borders New York, was hit by forest fires due to the continuing drought in the region due to the dry season.

Officers have issued an early ejection of the potential for thick smoke to affect the air quality in northern New Jersey, New York to Hudson Valley until Monday 11 November in the morning.

"The New Jersey Forest Fire Department has generally tackled more than 400 fires last month," said Head of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, Bill totaled, quoted by CBN News, Sunday, November 10.

Firefighters said only two days since Friday, September 8, there have been 40 fires in northern New Jersey.

He hopes that it will rain to suppress the hot weather of the extreme which has a high potential to expand its barredness.

"It depends on 'Mother Nature'. When it rains, we'll rest, but until we see it, I don't see anything going to happen," said God.

This said that a little rain is needed so that the soil becomes wet so that it can prevent the trigger for the fire.

"We're not talking about heavy rain or anything like that. We're talking about a little rain. You know, soft, slow, and stable rain that can penetrate the ground. Because at this time, the soil is so hard that if there is heavy rain or something like that, water will just flow from the ground," he said.
