Riots In Teluknaga Tangerang, Police Chase Onderdil Trucks

TANGERANG - The police will follow up on residents who looted trucks that were damaged after the riots on Jalan Raya Salembaran, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency.

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho said he would take firm action like the applicable rules if the looted items were not returned.

It is known that this looting incident went viral on social media, where residents went berserk and damaged trucks at the site eventually accompanied by looting of parts of the odd parts of the damaged land trucks.

The items taken from the trucks that were damaged by the masses included: doors, radio tape, tanks, dynamo and other Onderdil.

"So, if people don't want to be persuasive. So we (the police) will force them to enforce the law," said Zain in his statement, Sunday, November 10.

Zain appealed to the people who looted the items above to be returned immediately. Because for him, these items belong to other people, not the people's right to take them.

"The goods belong to someone else. If for example there are still those who secure these items, please return them to us immediately, the Tangerang City Metro Police," he said.

For information, there was a riot caused by a truck driver, DWI (21) hit a 9-year-old boy in the Teluknaga area, Tangerang Regency.

This provoked the emotions of the residents to eventually destroy the trucks that passed through the area.

A total of 12 units have been destroyed and burned by residents. This is a form of their protest to the government which has closed its eyes because the trucks that pass are not in accordance with applicable regulations until accidents occur frequently.
