JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) managed to enter the ranks of the Top 10 Global Islamic Bank in terms of market capitalization. Although it will only be 4 years old, the development of the largest bank in Indonesia is quite good.
"Alhamdulillah (BSI age) is almost 4 years old. So, February 1, 2025, this bank will have a fourth anniversary and we are grateful for its development very good. Today, BSI is in the position of the best mid-size bank in Indonesia," said BSI President Director Hery Gunardi during the launch of SuperApp Byond By BSI in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area. Not only being one of the largest and most trusted banks in the country, BSI has also succeeded in becoming one of the largest Islamic banks in the world. It is known that BSI is in the 9th position of the largest Islamic bank by market capitalization.
"Alhamdulillah, with stock price movements continuing to increase, today BSI is the 9th largest Islamic bank in the world based on market capitalization," he said.
Hery also explained a number of positive performances of BSI, where banks managed to record net profit growth above 21 percent. Then, the company's Non-Perfoming Financing (NPF) figure is still very low, which is below two percent.
"We were in the position last September, thank God we were able to grow well. Maybe BSI is the bank with the highest profit growth above 21 percent in September last year," said Hery.

He also hopes that in the future BSI will become the energy driving force for the sharia economy in Indonesia.
"We can also maintain the quality of our financing. The NPF is below 2 percent, the cost of credit is below 1 percent. This is part of our offering to how to help, support and also become a new energy to drive the sharia economy in Indonesia," he concluded.
