Iranian Man Charged With Donald Trump's Murder Plan
JAKARTA - The United States indicted an Iranian man in connection with a plan ordered by the elite Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to kill elected President Donald Trump.
As reported by Reuters on Saturday, November 9, the US Department of Justice said Farhad Shakeri admitted he was assigned on October 7, 2024, to kill Trump.
Shakeri allegedly told law enforcement he had no plans to formulate plans to kill Trump within the timeframe set by the IRGC.
The department describes 51-year-old Shakeri as an IRGC asset living in Tehran.
Shakeri migrated to the US as a child and was deported around 2008 following allegations of robbery. Shakeri is fugitive and believed to be in Iran
Two New Yorkers Shakeri met in prison, guided Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, were also charged with assisting Shakeri's plan to kill a US citizen from Iran in New York, who was described as a vocal critic of the Iranian government who was previously the target of murder.
