JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/The Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) collaborates with the Indonesian Trade and Economic Office (KDEI) in Taipei to strengthen the promotion of Indonesian tourism, especially 5 Super Priority Destinations (5 DSP) by participating in the Taipei International Travel Fair (TITF) 2024 which will take place on November 1 November 4, 2024.

Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, in a statement in Jakarta, Monday (4/11/2024), explained that as one of the largest international tourism exhibitions in Taiwan organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association, TITF is a good opportunity for Indonesia to increase various Indonesian tourism promotions to the people of Taiwan.

"This increase in tourism promotions through product knowledge or tourism updates regarding 5 Super Priority Destinations and 3B (Banyuwangi-North Bali-West Bali)," said Made.

The number of tourist arrivals from Taiwan to Indonesia in the first eight months of 2024 reached 127,610 tourists. Seeing this number, Indonesia's active participation in the TITF event is very strategic in realizing the target of foreign tourists visiting in 2024 as many as 14.3 million foreign tourists.

At the 2024 TITF event, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy facilitated the procurement of Indonesian pavilions by occupying an area of 36 square meters at Hall 1, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Taipei accommodates six Indonesian tourism industries with various backgrounds. Among them are Grand Luley Manado Hotels in Manado; TMS Tours TA/TO in Bali; ComeBest Tour TA/TO in Taipei, Taiwan; TCAWG TA/TO based in Taipei, Taiwan; Happy Go Tour TA/TO in Taipei, Taiwan; and Rindy Sigma Tour Organizer TA/TO in Bandung.

In this pavilion visitors can also get information services, mini surveys and questionnaires, distribution of promotional materials to sales calls to the office (travel agent/tour operator) TA/TO, airline, or tourism application company in Taipei.

"Through this activity, it is hoped that the increase in foreign tourist visits, especially from Taiwan to Indonesia, can be realized in a sustainable manner," said Made.
