Erick Thohir And Maruarat Sirait Proposed That The KPR Tenor Be Extended To 30 Years
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir and Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait proposed extending the tenor for housing loans (KPR) to 30 years.
The discussion on the KPR tenor is one of Erick Thohir's discussion materials with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait.
The two met at the Ministry of SOEs, on Thursday night, November 7.
"We will also encourage scheme financing on how this mortgage was only 15 years if it could be 30 years," said Erick at the BUMN Ministry Office, written Friday, November 8.
Erick hopes that the longer financing scheme can increase people's purchasing power to have housing.
In addition, with the extension of the mortgage tenor earlier, the amount of installments issued by the public will be cheaper.
"In order to help people who already have certain budgets by withdrawing them for 30 years, the installments will be much cheaper," he said.
Furthermore, Erick explained, this scheme also applies to all types of houses, both people's homes, as well as the middle class and others.
"So we also encourage this how efficiency with us can encourage people to also increase their purchasing power because the various important installments such as houses can be extended," he concluded.
In addition to discussing the KPR tenor, Erick and Maruarar also discussed the program of 3 million houses launched by President Prabowo Subianto. Both claimed to have the same commitment to the success of the program.
Erick explained that the breakthrough brought by Minister Maruarar was considered successful and could pursue the target given by President Prabowo. Mainly in the creation of 3 million houses.
"Mr. Ara's breakthrough is very helpful for us in the future and we have the same commitment as to the success of the president's program, the program of three million houses and we have the same commitment and God willing, we will support the heavy work of the minister," he explained.

He said this plan also received support from PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN).
"From Mr. Erick today is an ordinary quartz, the first time we synergize it with BTN, tomorrow night we will meet and report one good news where one form is whether we can make less taxes and financing, what does that mean? The cost is ultimately given to consumers," he explained.
