Neymar Injures Again In Al Hilal, Expected To Be Absent 4-6 Weeks
JAKARTA - Neymar made his second appearance with Al Hilal after being absent for 12 months due to injury.
He came on as a substitute in the 58th minute when Al Hilal won 3-0 over Estenghlal in the Asian Elite Champions League on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
However, three minutes before the match ended, the Brazilian was replaced again due to injury.
Al Hilal confirmed on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, that Neymar had a hamstring injury. He is expected to undergo treatment and rehabilitation for four to six weeks.
"Unfortunately, this is not an ordinary injury. He appears to be suffering from muscle aches and this is not a knee problem," Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus told a news conference in Riyadh.
Neymar also uploaded on his social media about the current condition of his injury.

"Hopefully nothing is too severe. It's natural that after a year (rest) this happened."
"The doctor has warned me. So, I have to be careful and play more," wrote Neymar.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian media speculated that Al Hilal might not register Neymar, whose contract expires in June 2025, for the second half of Saudi Arabia's Pro League season.
The rumors confirm that Neymar's future at Al Hilal is just waiting for his contract to expire or even be terminated in the middle of the road where the new registration window opens in January 2025.
Neymar has only played seven games to win 19 times the Saudi Arabian Pro League since signing a contract in August 2023. He was brought in at a cost of 90 million US dollars.
Currently he is not registered to play in domestic league games as the club has 10 foreign players. However, Neymar was allowed to play in the continental competition.
