Garuda Indonesia Facilitates Delivery Of Food Aid, Medicines, And Clothing For Disaster Victims In East Nusa Tenggara
JAKARTA - The national airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. operates humanitarian flights to transport humanitarian aid to people affected by flash floods in a number of areas of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra said that his party will continue to optimize its role in supporting community accessibility and logistics networks, especially to meet the needs of people affected by the disaster.

"Conditions in the NTT region after the flash flood disaster certainly require transportation support that is able to go to these locations in a shorter time", he said.
"So that through the operation of humanitarian flights from Garuda Indonesia, we hope that the disaster management process can run faster and logistics distribution can be carried out optimally", he continued.

For information, the humanitarian flight uses ATR 72-600 aircraft that departed from Makassar at 04.30 a.m. local time and arrived in Kupang at 07.00 a.m. local time.
The flight was carrying a number of relief goods for the people affected by the disaster, including food, medicine, and clothing from a number of state-owned enterprises and other volunteers.
In addition, the flight also delivered humanitarian officers who will be in charge of accelerating disaster management from the National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) and other relevant stakeholders.
Furthermore, the ATR 72-600 aircraft will also distribute humanitarian aid and support the mobility of disaster management officers in a number of disaster sites, especially in border areas such as Lembata, Alor, Larantuka, and Atambua over the next few days.
