Projo Pasang Badan Untuk Budi Arie Soal Isu Terlibat Judi Online Komdigi
JAKARTA - Projo Volunteers rejected the news that the general chairman, Budi Arie Setiadi, was involved in an online gambling case involving elements of the Ministry of Communication and Digital or Komdigi.
Secretary General (Sekjen) Projo, Hadoko claimed Budi Arie while leading the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) which is now named Komdigi has actually made a number of efforts to eradicate online gambling.
"As Minister of Communication and Information, he also takes steps such as removing, mutating employees or officials, as well as honorary staff suspected of being involved in online gambling," Handoko told reporters, Thursday, November 7.
During his tenure as Minister of Communication and Information, he said, Budi Arie also always coordinated with law enforcement officials or APH regarding the eradication of online gambling.
"No less important, Budi Arie Setiadi coordinates with APH, with law enforcement officials, with other OJK institutions, PPATK to continue to promote the eradication of online gambling," he said.
Handoko claims Budi Arie is also one of the parties to encourage cross-ministerial and institutional task forces to eradicate online gambling practices that were formed when the Komdigi case broke out.
"Well, he also encouraged the formation of a cross-agency task force and ministries which we later found out with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs at that time became the leader of the online gambling eradication task force," said Handoko.

For information, in the Komdigi online gambling case as a whole, 16 people have been named as suspects.
Dozens of people named as suspects, consisting of 12 Komdigi employees and four civilians.
Three of them are controllers of the'satellite office' used to condition online gambling sites. The location of the satellite office is in Ruko Galaxy, South Bekasi.
The controllers of the satellite office had the initials A, AK, and AJ. Now, the police are also putting the names of two suspects on the wanted list (DPO), namely A and M.
