Becoming Prabowo's First Destination Country, China Believes In Bilateral Closeness
JAKARTA - The Chinese government believes it has strong bilateral relations with Indonesia because it is President Prabowo Subianto's first destination country in a series of state visits after taking office.
"President Prabowo Subianto visited China during his first overseas visit after he was elected in March and again chose China as the first country to visit after being inaugurated, this shows the importance of China-Indonesia relations and the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning at a press conference in Beijing. reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 5.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made an announcement that President Prabowo will make his first state visit to Beijing, China on November 8-10, 2024.
"China and Indonesia are good neighbors who face each other across the ocean as well as partners for a common future," added Mao Ning.
Under the strategic direction of the two heads of state, said Mao Ning, China-Indonesia relations are believed to maintain a strong growth momentum and enter a new phase in building communities with a shared future.
"President Xi Jinping will hold a welcoming ceremony for President Prabowo Subianto, and the two heads of state will hold talks," said Mao Ning.
Furthermore, President Prabowo is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.
"China is ready to cooperate with Indonesia through this visit to strengthen high-level political trust, deepen overall strategic cooperation and improve the development of the Chinese-Indonesian community with a shared future to a new level," said Mao Ning.
Mao Ning said the visit could also provide a strong impetus for the modernization process of the two countries and improve regional and global development and prosperity.
However, he did not explain the details of the topic of discussion that would be discussed during the visit.

Prabowo will then continue his visit to Brazil to attend the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19 2024.
