Kia Sales Reach 60 Thousand Units In The US During October, EVs And SUVs Rise Drastically

JAKARTA - Kia received positive results in the United States (US) region by successfully selling 68,908 vehicles in October 2024 thanks to the growth of electrification lines and SUVs.

According to data from Kia's official website, Tuesday, November 5, EV sales increased by 70 percent. Then, in the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) segment, it jumped by 65 percent and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) by up 49 percent compared to last year.

In addition, the SUV segment is in demand by gaining a record by contributing up to 73 percent of total sales last month.

A number of Kia's electric and SUV models achieved an increase in double-digit sales, prompting Kia to achieve our best October sales performance in the company's history, said Kia America's Vice President & Sales Operation, Eric Watson.

During October 2024, Sportage was still a favorite for Uncle Sam's country customers with 13,681 units sold successfully, followed by Telluride with 9,694 units, and the latest K4 sedan with 7,901 units.

This was followed by Sorento sales of 7,841 units and K5 models with 5,818 units completing the top five Kia best-selling models in the US.

From the environmentally friendly electric vehicle segment, EV9 led sales in October this year with a total of 1,941 units and EV6 with a total of 1,732 units. Other models such as Niro, present in EV and ICE versions obtained 1,546 units.

During the January-October 2024 period, this factory from the country of ginseng made total sales of up to 653,078 units in this country with the capital Washington DC.

In 10 months this year, Sportage and Forte are the models that have succeeded in breaking more than 100,000 units with 132,439 units and 106,050 units each. Complementing the top three, Telluride's large-dimensional SUV reads sales of up to 91,448 units.
