Isyana Sarasvati Calls Classical Music Her Music Roots

JAKARTA - Isyana Sarasvati has been known by many people as pop singers, but she revealed that classical music is the root of her music.

Since childhood, Isyana admitted that she had aspired to become a musician. He mentioned the names of two classic music composers who became his inspiration for choosing the field of music.

"There are actually many aspirations, one of which is Olivier Messiaen and Tchaikovsky," said Isyana Sarasvati at SCBD, South Jakarta some time ago.

The love for music from the West brought Isyana to a lecture based on classical music.

"That's why I also went to college to learn music performance at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Because I really want to explore the music not only from its performance, but to explore music more fully," he said.

Although the journey in the music industry has been going on for a decade, exploring various musical genres, the 31-year-old singer says classical music remains the root of the music.

Therefore, in the Lost in Harmony concert to celebrate the 10-year musical journey, the singer of 'Stay In The Soul' presented an orchestra led by his classic music mentor, Avip Priatna.

"I want to bring Isyana's elements in the same order, namely there is a classic element. Because I was born from a classic world of music, an opera school like that," said Isyana.

"So I will present elements of the orchestra, invite Kak Avip Priatna, he is one of my music mentors from childhood," he concluded.
