Today KPK Responds To Sahbirin Noor's Lawsuit At The South Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is ready to answer the pretrial lawsuit filed by the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin. The points that object to the alleged corruption suspect have been studied.

"KPK learns the points conveyed and then the reading of the respondent, namely the KPK is scheduled for Tuesday (today, ed)," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, November 5.

Budi said his agency believed that the pretrial lawsuit filed by Uncle Birin would be rejected. "The panel of judges will independently and objectively decide this pretrial hearing," he said.

"So we are optimistic that the panel of judges will reject the pretrial application submitted by the suspect SHB in the case," continued Budi.

Furthermore, the anti-corruption commission invites all parties to monitor the pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court. "This is a form of public involvement in transparency in eradicating corruption," said Budi.

As previously reported, South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court (PN) on October 10. He did not accept being named a suspect in receiving bribes and gratuities related to projects in South Kalimantan Province.

"The classification of the legal case or not of the determination of the suspect," reads the lawsuit with case number 105 / Pid.Pra / 2024 / PN JKT.SEL quoted from the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court, Friday, October 11.

The determination of the suspect began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) held by the KPK on Sunday, October 6. Uncle Birin was appointed along with four other people as recipients.

The four are the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Management of the Tahfidz Darussalam House as well as the collector of money or fee Ahmad (AMD) and Plt. Head of the Household Section of the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andrean (FEB).

Meanwhile, as the suspect givers, namely Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND) as private parties. A total of seven suspects were named by the KPK.

This provision was made after Sugeng and Andi received three projects in South Kalimantan. The details are: 1. Football Field Development in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with the selected provider PT WKM (Wismani Kharya Mandiri) with a work value of Rp23 billion; 2. Integrated Samsat Development with the selected provider PT HIU (Haryadi Indo Utama) with a work value of Rp22 billion;3. Development of Swimming Pools in the Integrated Sports Area of South Kalimantan Province with the selected provider CV BBB (Bangun Banua Bersama) with a work value of Rp9 billion.

Uncle Birin is currently not detained like other suspects. However, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent him from leaving the country for six months.
