Israel Attacks Syria, Loud Explosions Sound Near Damakus

JAKARTA - Israel reportedly attacked the territory of Sayeda Zeinab, Syria. A loud explosion was heard near Damascus.

There have been no details of any reports from the Israeli military offensive on Monday, November 4. Israel has attacked Syria several times allegedly linked to Lebanese Hezbollah.

On Saturday, October 26, Israeli airstrikes targeted several military locations in Syria's central and southern parts. The attack came at a time when Israel carried out a counter-attack against Iran.

Syrian news agency SANA on Saturday, October 26, reported Syrian air defense forces intercepted missiles launched by Israel from the direction of Israel's occupied Syrian Golan hill and Lebanese territory.

Reported by Reuters, troops shot down several of them. SANA reported explosions around the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Israel has carried out attacks on targets linked to Iran in Syria for years but has stepped up the attack since the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas armed groups in Israeli territory.
