Jewish Settlers Burn 20 Palestinian Cars In Ramallah

JAKARTA - Jewish travelers burned 20 cars in attack on Palestinian property on the outskirts of Ramallah.

Dozens of masked attackers carried Molotov cocktails, targeting the Al-Bireh area, which borders Ramallah, at around 03.00 in the morning, Monday, November 4, local time. They set fire to the cars in a matter of minutes.

Ihab al-Zaben residents said they shouted at Jewish settlers but they still burned their vehicles.

"When we got off to try to put out the fire, they started shooting at us," he said.

The Fasad of the residential building was left black due to a fire that broke out in a car parked outside.

Israeli police and security agency Shin Bet are conducting an investigation after receiving reports that a number of Palestinian cars had been burned.

Jewish settlers' violence against the Palestinian community in the West Bank has drawn international condemnation and led to sanctions against settlers who perpetrated violence by several governments, especially the United States, which urged Israel to do more to stop the attack.

The Palestinian Authority, based in Ramallah, condemns the brutal attacks carried out by settlers. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for comprehensive sanctions targeting the entire colonial system of settlers'.

Meanwhile, Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shadid said the attack reflected an increase in the violence perpetrated by Jewish settlers. Hamas emphasized the need for resistance to this crime.
