Bus In India Falls Into Abyss, 36 People Die
JAKARTA - A total of 36 people were killed and six others injured in a bus accident fell into a ravine in the state of Uttarakhand, northern India.
The bus departed from Garhwal in the Himalayan to the city of Ramnagar. There are 42 passengers on board, said Devendra Pincha, a local police officer by telephone.
Images from the ANI news agency showed the bus upside down lying on the edge of the river at the foot of the hill.
