Honda Green Revolution: ICON E: And Honda CUV E: Ticket Visitors To IMOS 2024
JAKARTA - The Indonesia Motorcycle Show 2024 (IMOS) exhibition is an event for various manufacturers to introduce the latest innovations, including PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM).
At this grand exhibition, AHM brought many motorcycle models, but many visitors paid attention to two electric motorbikes that were just launched last October 9, namely ICON e: and CUV e:.
The two electric motor models are here to complement the line of environmentally friendly vehicles for the Indonesian automotive market, which is getting more and more excited every time they know.
"We present electric motors that offer comfort, security, and flexibility," said President Director of AHM Susumu Mitsuishi, in Tangerang.
Become A Center For Attention
In VOI's observation during the exhibition, two new electric motorbikes from Honda became the center of attention of many visitors. One of them, Indra, is a visitor from Bogor, West Java.
"The display is futuristic, different from the existing brand, the range is also classified as far away and the quality of the battery must have been tested," he told VOI.
Indeed, at first glance, Honda's two new electric motors come with a futuristic design. This motorbike has a slim and elegant body with a firm line, suitable for use in urban areas.
Complete Specifications
Armed with advanced, clean, and smart designs, Honda ICON e: attracting attention with a 12-inch tire alloy at the front and 10 inches behind. The compact dimension stratified with a flat footrest on an electric motorcycle provides comfort and flexibility for driving. There is large baggage with a capacity of up to 26 liters which adds value from the functionality side.
Honda ICON e: carrying an electric motorbike with a maximum power of 1.8 KW capable of traveling up to 55 km/hour. The battery embedded in the bottom deck of the motorbike is able to survive and carry the vehicle to cover a maximum distance of 53 km with a single charge. The direct charge battery charging system, directly to the motorcycle or to the battery, provides high flexibility and charging is easier anywhere. Charging the battery from empty to full takes 7 hours 20 minutes, and from 25 to 75 percent it takes 3 hours 30 minutes.
There are riding modes 'ECON' for more battery-dependent driving, and 'STD' for normal driving experience. Other supporting equipment embedded in Honda ICON e: among them USB chargers on console boxes, full digital meter panels, and all lights using LED technology.
Meanwhile, for Honda CUV e: the design embedded carries a futuristic premium style with sharp angles in several parts, then combined with a 12-inch velg. This model is even more special with the tightening of the Honda RoadSync Duo, a system of connectivity with mobile phones at the highest type that provides convenience, comfort, and calm when driving with high mobility.
Honda CUV e: powered by electric motors with a maximum power of 6 KW, which can carry it up to a speed of 83 km/hour with a maximum distance of 80.7 km. The power source comes from two Honda Mobile Power Pack e batteries: which can be swabbed or charge yourself with an off-board charger. Charging the battery from empty to full takes six hours, and 2.7 hours for charging from 25 to 75 percent.
There are three driving modes, namely ECON, STD, and Sport, which can be selected to adjust the needs and conditions. The embedded support completeness is a USB type-C charger located on the console box for charging the phone battery. The TFT panel screen can display vehicle information, navigation, music controllers, to receive and make calls. A typical Honda smart key system is installed to maximize the security features.

AHM offers an attractive color choice for two electric motors. For ICON e: with five color choices, namely Iconic Mint, Iconic Orange, Iconic Red, Iconic White, and Iconic Matte Black. In addition, Honda CUV e: namely Stellar Matte White, Stellar Matte Silver, and Stellar Matte Black.
Price Estimation
Until now, Honda has not announced the official price of its two new electric motors, but has provided an estimate. For ICON e: it is at IDR 28 million to IDR 32 million, CUV e: worth IDR 53 million to IDR 57 million.
