Prabowo Wants To Fight Corruption, Minister Of Law Waits For DPR Invitations To Discuss Bill On Asset Confiscation Entering Prolegnas

JAKARTA - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas said his party was waiting for an invitation from the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR RI to discuss the Asset Confiscation Bill to be included in the national legislation program (Prolegnas).

Along with the commitment of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto who wants to eradicate corruption from Indonesian soil.

"We haven't discussed it regarding Prolegnas. Right now we are waiting for an invitation from the Legislative Body, because the Legislative Body will hold a working meeting, so I want to go to Baleg to discuss the law," Supratman said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 4.

According to Supratman, the public has been able to interpret President Prabowo's wishes for themselves, who has recently often echoed the issue of eradicating corruption.

Supratman revealed that President Prabowo had asked the Ministry of Law to conduct a review or review of all bills that hindered his government's programs. As stated in the ideals that Prabowo has conveyed.

"Well, if later friends always pay attention to the president's statement at every opportunity, friends should be able to interpret it," said the former chairman of the DPR Baleg.

The Gerindra politician confirmed that Prabowo was firm on the issue of eradicating corruption. For this reason, said Supratman, his party will discuss several laws related to corruption with the DPR.

"If that is certain, the eradication of corruption is part of I, and I will also tell you about that from the meeting at the commission, but later whether some of the laws that were asked because this is not only the government, not only the president, we will talk to the DPR," explained Supratman.

So far, Supratman admits that he has not seen a study related to the asset Confiscation Bill. Therefore, the Ministry of Law will investigate the draft asset Confiscation Bill, including the asset confiscation diction which is said to be changed to asset recovery.

"We have not received the study, what is the consideration. We will review it later, if then they have provided us with regard to certainty and diction related to it," said Supratman.

Supratman added that the development of the discussion of the bill will be reported to President Prabowo later. "Oh for sure (reported) yes," he concluded.
