For The Sake Of Champion's Target, Francesco Bagnaia Admits He Needs Other Drivers' Assistance
JAKARTA - MotoGP defending champion Francesco Bagnaia still has full ambitions to be able to defend his title this season. However, to realize the target, Pecco, as he is familiarly called, admitted that he needed the help of other riders.
So far Bagnaia has collected 461 points or only 24 points from the acquisition of Jorge Martin who leads the drivers' standings. With a distance that is not far apart, Bagnaia still sees the possibility of winning this season's title with the help of other riders.
"We still have a chance. We really need help from others because there is a chance to win."
"He will finish second because we are at a different level," Bagnaia said as quoted by Crash on Monday, November 4, 2024.

The rider, who has collected two MotoGP world titles, even stated that he is ready to provide slipstream assistance or speeds from the leading position so that the riders behind can go fast without full power.
"I'm going to try to help everyone over the weekend by giving a slipstream so someone will follow me," Bagnaia said.
The rider, who has joined Ducati since his debut in MotoGP 2019, assessed that Martin received assistance from Aleix Espargaro in the last series race which reportedly will take place at Barcelona.
"I knew at Barcelona Aleix Espargaro would be very strong and would help Jorge at every weekend session. I just need someone to go forward between me and him (Martin)," Bagnaia said of the situation.
