Maliq &D'Essentials Encourages People To Move In Benefits Through Your Good Means

JAKARTA - Maliq & D'Essentials are known for their hits that are on average themed about love, but ahead of Ramadan this year they were challenged to create a song with a new theme that has been rarely touched by the band.

Maliq & D'Essentials in collaboration with wardah brand launched the original soundtrack Langkah Baikmu Berarti, a campaign to invite people to move in usefulness through various activities.

"Maliq rarely has a religious or life-like song, we are more into love," said Angga Puradiredja the vocalist in an online press conference reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 7.

One of the challenges faced in writing lyrics is finding sentences that are liked by both parties, also changing the theme to lyrics that are easy to listen to and easy to digest, including how interesting the word "benefit" becomes part of the song Langkah Baikmu Berarti, said Indah the vocalist.

"Your Good Move Means it's simple, but when interpreted it's profound. We need to feel the meaning of the short sentence because it must be 'wide' (lyrics)," said Indah.

Maliq & D'Essentials defines a step either by trying to do activities that have as much impact on others as possible, or at least bring positive benefits to themselves.

As musicians, they want to share their happiness with fans who are equally affected by the pandemic by entertaining them virtually or simply asking fans how they're doing. They also try to help by promoting the efforts of people who sell through pandemics.

"By doing good, the happy is not only what we love, but happy for ourselves as well, giving us positive energy to continue working," concluded Angga.
