PSBS Biak shut out Bali United 2-0, move up to sixth place in League 1 standings

JAKARTA PSBS Biak successfully stole a 2-0 victory over Bali United in the 10th week of the 2024/2025 Indonesian League 1 match which was held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Sunday, November 3. This result led PSBS Biak, dubbed the Pacific Storm, up to sixth position in the standings with 15 points, while Bali United had to be willing to go down to fourth position with 20 points.

Bali United appeared dominant early in the first half, trying to suppress PSBS Biak with a number of dangerous opportunities. Irfan Jaya almost opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by efforts from Mitsuru Maruoka in the 32nd minute. However, both opportunities failed to bear fruit.

On the other hand, PSBS Biak appeared aggressive and managed to suppress the Bali United defense nicknamed Serdadu Tridatu. The first chance PSBS Biak came through a free kick which was converted into a goal by midfielder Wiliams Jose Ladera in the 42nd minute. The 1-0 score lasted until halftime.

In the second half, PSBS Biak again displayed an attacking game. Alexandro Perreira scored the second goal in the 72nd minute with a powerful shot that goalkeeper Adilson Maringa failed to anticipate, bringing PSBS Biak 2-0 up. Until the end of the match, PSBS Biak managed to maintain the lead and bring home three points.

With this victory, PSBS Biak showed a positive performance in the League 1 competition, while Bali United needed to improve after this defeat.
